1. Who we are

NCIDE is operated by NCI Global ("we", "us"). For the personal data described below, we act as the data controller. Contact: hello@ncide.app.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: email address, authentication identifiers (e.g. Google sign-in ID), and password hash.
  • Submitted signals: handles, text, and any optional images you submit to generate a reading.
  • Generated readings: the interpretive output produced from your submitted signals.
  • Usage and telemetry: device identifiers, browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and basic interaction events.
  • Support data: messages you send us.

3. Why we use it

  • Account data — to create and secure your account (legal basis: contract performance).
  • Submitted signals & readings — to provide the core service and let you re-open past readings (contract performance).
  • Usage & telemetry — to operate, secure, debug, and improve the product (legitimate interests).
  • Support data — to respond to you (legitimate interests / contract performance).
  • Marketing emails, if any — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Who we share data with

  • Infrastructure subprocessors: hosting and database providers used to run the service.
  • AI model providers: third-party model providers (such as Google and OpenAI) that process submitted signals to generate readings. We do not authorize them to train on your content.
  • Paddle.com: our online reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payments, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds. Paddle is an independent data controller for the personal data it processes for those purposes — see Paddle's Buyer Privacy Notice.
  • Professional advisers: legal or accounting advisers where reasonably necessary.
  • Authorities: where required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.

We do not sell your personal data. Some of these providers operate outside your country (including the US); where applicable, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

5. Retention

We keep account, signal, and reading data for as long as your account is active. You can delete any individual reading at any time from Archive. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain limited records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise these by emailing hello@ncide.app. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We aim to respond within one month.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and isolation of sensitive credentials. No service is perfectly secure; we work to reduce risk and to respond to incidents promptly.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember interface preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Where we use analytics, it is privacy-respecting and aggregated.

9. Children

NCIDE is not intended for children under 16. Do not use the service or submit data about a minor.

10. Changes

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
